PERFORMANCES
Adhok “Emergency Exit” / France
What does it mean to grow old? In the space of a century, life expectancy has been extended by 30 years. But, beyond biological markers, what does it mean to be old? Seven actors between 60 and 80 offer us a promenade of theatre and dance, poetic, non-narrative and conceived for the street, which highlights our perception of old age, the fears it carries and the treasures it hides.
A theatrical and choreographic fresco which plays and integrates within the urban fabric, with its limitations and architectural advantages, its uses, dangers and area of social visibility, to put the spotlight on ageing.
Adhok is artistically driven by the two authors and directors Doriane Moretus and Patrick Dordoigne. Both have been involved in the development of outdoor arts for more than 25 years. In 2010, they felt the need to join forces to pursue their artistic adventures together. Thanks to the complementarity of their experience, they offer shows mixing theatre and dance, with a poetic approach, focused on human beings and their living conditions. As a creative team, they share a research on the questions of current generations, always driven by the desire to develop a “different” language for the public space.

antagon theaterAKTion “Among Trees” / Germany
Can trees sense the climate catastrophe? Are they afraid? Are they capable of mourning? What stories do they have to tell? This new production is about the contemporary witnesses who have lived through revolutions, wars and peace alliances in silent coexistence. In a mixture of physical theatre, dance and live music, antagon gets closer to those who have always been there and whose existence is becoming increasingly fragile due to the climate catastrophe: the trees.
Antagon theaterAKTion is an international theatre ensemble founded in 1990 by Bernhard Bub in Frankfurt am Main (Germany). The aim of the theatre ensemble is to create a politicized artistic language that deals with the conflicts of our society. Antagon’s artistic research is based on various perspectives of the performing arts and the development of decolonial forms of expression. Influences include physical theatre, butoh, stilt acrobatics, contemporary music, expressive dance, Afro-diasporic dance and experimental video art. Antagon sees its own work as a search for traces at the interfaces and meeting places of theatre and dance and as a research laboratory for forms of expression that touch the audience and are accessible to many.

ART CIRCUS Aleksandr Makagon „Cyrk to ja” / Poland, Cracow
“Cyrk to ja” is a dynamic, interactive one-clown performance, in which the audience becomes a part of the show. The artist invites the audience to participate in tasks, plays and improvised scenes. The performance includes elements of juggling, acrobatics, unicycle riding, a circus ladder, balloon modelling and classical clowning. Since the course of the show depends on the viewers’ reactions, each performance is different, spontaneous and full of unexpected humour.
ART CIRCUS Alexandr Makagon is a signature circus theatre based on the artist’s long-term experience on the scene, clowning, improvisation and direct contact with the audience. He combines traditional circus techniques with humour and the energy of the street theatre. The most important elements in his art are his living relation with the audience, spontaneity and the joy of joint play.

Big Wolf Company “Three Sisters” / Estonia
How strong legs does one need to break a log? What is needed to give birth in the middle of a field? And what is there to be done, if there is no man on sight and the whole future a woman sees ahead is work, more work and the company of one’s envious, vicious and yet incredibly loving sisters…
The project is a contemporary folk-comedy based on aerial disciplines (hammock, hoop) and handstand/acro-dance spiced up with social criticism and danced away by epics. While creating the show the team researched old nordic traditions about marriage, women’s role in the household, what type of a woman was desired during the old times and how has it changed (or not) these days.
Big Wolf Company is Estonia’s first professional contemporary circus company – founded by Grete Gross and Lizeth Wolk. Big Wolf Company enchants audiences with its diverse productions, ranging from stylish comedies to deeply moving solo performances. The group aims to increase the visibility of contemporary circus in Estonia and to build international collaborations across performing arts by exploring the limitless possibilities of circus. The company has represented Estonian contemporary circus in Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, England, Saudi Arabia, Iceland, Turkey, Congo etc.

BoCirk Company “Summer Heat” / Czech Republic
A show that entertains, moves, and provokes reflection. “Summer Heat” raises urgent questions: What does it mean to be a man today? What are men afraid of, ashamed of, and what do they secretly long for? Do they really have to love fast cars, hard words, and clenched fists? And – most of all – are they even able to talk about it? It’s not just about adrenaline and showmanship – “Summer Heat” is a call for openness, a challenge to stereotypes, and an invitation to share emotions.
BoCirk is a Czech contemporary circus company that has been blending acrobatics, theatre, dance, and live music into striking performances for 20 years. They believe in wordless storytelling, the beauty of the human body in motion, and that art belongs everywhere – on stage, in the streets, and in the air. They create original shows, run festivals, train young acrobats, and constantly seek new ways to surprise and move audiences.

Bratři v tricku “Skiing Odyssey” / Czech Republic
The trip is a race whose main award is an experience. In this respect, these men are the best competitors – real champions. They are even better than they have ever thought. Two cross-country skiers lost in the map and the season of the year, side by side but in one ski run, are undergoing a cross-country odyssey – a wandering journey with an obscure course as well as ending. Ski poles ready, wax your moustache, an encouraging shot of tea and let´s start!
Bratři v tricku ensemble is extraordinary for its constant inventiveness in connecting juggling techniques and theatrical situations. Their strong points are self-irony, handling objects, moderate acrobatics, and kind humour. In their projects, they actively include the audience in the performance, which creates an authentic participatory experience.

Companyia Nacho Flores “DOMTE” / Catalonia, Spain
DOMTE is a celebration of handmade theatre, human creativity, and the joy of building – and taking risks – in front of an audience. This poetic and visual piece, accompanied by live music and inspired by a mythological imagination, invites us to follow the transformative journey of its protagonist. Tools, wood, and physics become instruments in a deeper exploration of the relationship between human beings and the world they build, of understanding how we coexist with the forces that we create ourselves.
Nacho Flores creates an exuberant and unpredictable stage character, reminiscent of the Shakespearean fool or a cartoon character, capable of shifting from delicacy to chaos in an instant. With a very precise physical expressiveness combined with exaggerated gestures, he creates a direct relationship with the audience and keeps it in a constant state of anticipation. This connection generates moments of collective complicity where laughter and surprise are shared in real time.

Circumstances “BEYOND” / Belgium
“BEYOND” is a vibrant and energetic, yet poetic circus and dance performance that tests, challenges and ultimately transcends boundaries. Show features six professional performers, each an expert in a different discipline – ladder walking, acrodance, acrobike, partner acrobatics and pole dancing. On stage, they become boundless bridge builders. Using ladders of varying sizes and heights, the performers construct impressive structures, such as arch sculptures and rotating cranes. They balance the ladders to create a thrilling, unstable playing field. They explore unknown territories, climb, float, and engage in a daring choreography. Every inch and every second counts. They push the boundaries and discover how far they can push each other. Physical dependence has never been this exciting. “BEYOND” explores the fragility, absurdity and the strength of boundaries, showing how we can expand them through collaboration.
Circumstances create an innovative fusion of circus, dance, music, and scenography. Energetic and poetic performances full of suspense that move and connect audiences. The driving force behind Circumstances is choreographer Piet Van Dycke. He creates and directs groundbreaking performances that strengthen the connection between people.

Collectif La Méandre “Fantôme” / France
“Fantôme” combines digital arts, music and object theatre. Based on an animated movie, it tells the story of a child who accidentally brings about the collapse of a totalitarian system. It relies on the narrative technique of screening with live music, to which are added unique set designs that evolve with the story. Trusting in imagination, Fantôme aims at inspiring a poetic rising by embarking the audience on a powerful oneiric adventure.
La Méandre is a multidisciplinary collective bringing together around twenty artists from different fields – visual artists, set designers, writers, actors, photographers, musicians, dancers, etc. – who support one another in their artistic creative process. Blurring the boundaries between artistic disciplines, the collective creates immersive and site-specific experiences that engage closely with audiences and explore public space in unexpected ways.

Company Les Malles “VICTORIA” / Switzerland
In the Paris of the Roaring Twenties, Victoria was a diva and cabaret dancer. Today, a few years older, she draws on her memories to rediscover the pleasure of the stage, success and the thrill of seduction. She becomes the seductress she once was, letting herself be carried away by the dance.
The Company Les Malles is a street theatre company set up in March 2016 by Romain Guex, puppeteer and Céline Fellay, puppeteer and dancer. Their intention is to develop an artistic project where life size puppets, gestures and dance blend into a theatre experience. Their artistic projects are intended to be acted out in public spaces.

Their joyful street show blends breathtaking hand-to-hand and floor acrobatics with lighthearted storytelling, breaking clichés and telling the story of an equal partnership: strong, playful, and full of surprises. At times, seriousness tips into a smile, control into a touch of chaos-and that is exactly where their magic lies. A show that moves, uplifts, and reveals how much trust lives in strength and how much strength can be found in laughter.

Emiliano Alessi “Tei Tei” / Spain
“Tei Tei” is a show that plays with the concept of human relationships. A game around the idea of being connected by imaginary bridges that we do not see but feel. A dynamic and subtle performance where the show is built with the total complicity of the public. A fresh and funny moment full of spontaneous and colourful surprises.
Emiliano Alessi studied circus arts in Buenos Aires, Barcelona and Toulouse. Since his origins, he has created street shows without text, where the body is the universal tool of communication supported by gesture, physical prose, and poetry. After many years as a performer only, he also became a director for big productions around the world. Already created five street shows and directed ten big circus productions in Europe and Asia. Currently, he tours with his last creation “Tei Tei”.

Grupa WoRaZu ”Technosis. To Infinity and Beyond” / Poland, Warsaw
The performance explores a world in which technology is no longer just a tool but begins to take control of how we live, feel, and perceive reality. It is a story about a person disconnected from the present moment – about loneliness, confusion, and a sense of emptiness that emerge when the natural rhythm of life is replaced by something designed, artificial, and increasingly detached from the body. The performance portrays a society so deeply lost that it comes to believe that an even more powerful technology can solve the very problems that technology itself has created.
Originating from the primaeval roots of culture and art, the language of post/butoh dance encourages us to pose questions concerning the meaning and future of humanity within the digitally-fragmented reality.
Grupa WoRaZu is a collective of artists and friends creating interdisciplinary dance theatre projects based on the post/butoh dance (Wojciech Matejko), electroacoustic, thick music of the depth (Rafał Iwański) and symbolic handling of space and objects (Zuzanna Litawińska). The group seeks to deeply move its audience. They open portals to other dimensions of reality within the bodies, hearts and minds of both the performers and the audience.

Imagine The Beatles in primary school or Queen in kindergarten after robbing a toy shop! After travelling far and wide to perform their bizarre concerts, the Jashgawronsky Brothers had a brilliant idea: why not set up a school where they could teach the musical weirdness developed in 23 years of honourable service around the world? Not an easy task, but the fun… guaranteed. And the dream became reality! The bizarre director of the Jashgawronsky Brothers Music School presents the end-of-course recital of the school that teaches you how to play toys! Talking mice, sound farms, rattles, trumpets, dolls, puppets, ukuleles, flutes, little guitars and keyboards. Let yourself be carried away on the wings of timeless comedy and enjoy the most incredible musical acrobatics.
The Jashgawronsky Brothers were born 23 years ago from an idea of artists from different backgrounds (theatre, music, clowning and visual comedy) with the aim of producing shows combining live music and comedy. The characters of the Jashgawronsky Brothers, who come from an obscure orphanage in Yerevan, Armenia, immediately imposed themselves on the international scene for their original use of musical instruments made mainly of recycled material. In recent years they have been able to renew themselves continuously, taking their productions around three continents, winning several national and international awards, and participating in numerous television programmes in Italy and abroad.

Manipura Teatr Ognia ”Ogień pustyni” / Poland, Gdańsk
A performance inspired by oriental music and the mysterious atmosphere of a sun-heated desert at night. It is a show full of mesmerising movements, revolving flames and dynamic choreographies performed using poi, hoops, fire fans, sticks and pyrotechnic effects.
Manipura are fire dance lovers from Gdańsk, who have been creating and presenting spectacular live light shows since 2019. They are inspired by different dance styles and cultures from all over the world.

Markas Liberman “PLAY(ces)” / Lithuania, Vilnius
“PLAY(ces)” is a solo musical-circus performance by Markas Liberman, which invites the audience to experience children’s playgrounds as a performative, circus-friendly space. What happens when a swing becomes a circus tool, a musical instrument? What life metaphors do game objects reveal? “PLAY(ces)” is an experiment that intertwines music and acrobatics, art and everyday life, childhood and maturity, it is a story about transformations and eternal searches for identity, about the desire to grow up and the ability to preserve the most fragile qualities of childhood.
Markas Liberman is an interdisciplinary, contemporary circus artist whose creative path began at the intersection of art research and performance art. During his studies in arts and cognition, Liberman’s interest in contemporary circus led him to explore how the relationship between the body and the environment is revealed in this art form. Inspired by this research, Liberman began to create performances that explore the relationship between the object, the performer and the audience. In 2022 Liberman furthered his skills at the prestigious clown and theatre school Ecole Philippe Gaulier in Paris and since 2016, he also works as a freelance art educator.

As Panorama turns on its own axis, a virtual fantasy unfolds as the public and outside actors unite to create and tell unique stories. In an age of increasing conflict and division, Panorama celebrates public spaces and the unifying interactions which take place in them.
Founded in 2015 by Swiss-Australian artist Tom Greder, Panorama Kino Theatre creates interactive experiences, workshops and collaborative projects with artists and communities throughout the world. Panorama believes that theatre opens spaces for connection, reflection and play, where individuals feel seen, heard and valued. Through its interactive, co-creative format, Panorama invites audiences to discover, express and share their stories, voices and emotions… actively shaping playful, collaborative performances together.

StreetFools Company ”Banaba Flup” / Catalonia, Italy
Two characters arrive, with a lifeboat, prepared for the day of the final flood. Climate change will cause torrential rains, melting glaciers, and an inevitable rise in sea level that will cover everything. The countdown has begun! They take the boat and prepare for the worst. They will have to wait, and the wait will not be easy. The difficulties will reveal personalities, fears, grief and pain, but also the importance of friendship, and how joy helps to overcome difficulties and how humor is, many times, the best lifesaver. The great flood has arrived… or has it?
A street theatre company founded in 2022, born from the extensive theatrical experience of Claudio Levati (Kamchatka Company) and Jordi Solé (Electric 28 Company). Both have shared street performances around the world and decided to embark on this solo journey to unleash their passion for humor and comedy, combined with their experience working in and with public spaces, improvisation, and accessible language for all.

Teatr 3.5 “Can’t Escape” / Poland, Dzierzgoń
“Can’t Escape” is a picture of the world of an escape to nowhere. It is a question about who we are going to be for each other immediately after a disaster: after we have drunk the last glass of clean, pure water, moving about in a frantic search for a few drops of fuel for our insatiable tanks, with a substitute of living nature closed within a glass shrine? Set in post-apocalyptic aesthetics, this show addresses the topic of the climate crisis from the side of the questions concerning our mutual relations when the disaster has become a historical fact.
Teatr 3.5 was set up in 2012 on the initiative of Marek Kurkiewicz, an artist previously associated with the Teatr Snów. The group creates mainly outdoor and street performances resisting theatrical conventions, customs and trends. It ceaselessly experiments, developing its own artistic language in search of the ways to enter a special dialogue with the viewer. Considering the subjects it addresses and its work ethos, this is a socially engaged theatre.

Teatr Akt ”Podróżnicy” / Poland, Warsaw
When you embark on a trip, nothing remains as it was. Because it is not the destination but the road which is the gist of travelling, although the appropriate direction and noble intention can be an added value. An encounter with other human beings and the experience of the passing time provide an opportunity to stop and notice every most significant moment of our life. The performance is a combination of a happening, visual theatre, pantomime and dance – all in the steampunk stylistics. It is a proposal of a wandering theatre, which invites happenstance viewers to participate in the creative act and venture with the actors on a joint, symbolic journey.
Teatr Akt has been operating in Warsaw for more than 30 years and is one of the few entirely independent theatrical groups in Poland, which have been consistently practicing its signature theatre. They supplement the art of mime, gesture and plastic image with elements of circus and dance. The interactive and happening activities inscribed into street theatre poetics are an inseparable part of their performances.

Teatr Formalina ”Kapi i Ara” / Poland, Wroclaw
“Kapi i Ara” is a visual and musical tale of curiosity about the world, stepping beyond one’s own habits and discovering the unknown. Its main protagonist, a capybara named Kapi, leaves the monotonous, routine-based world of the Chillibarian Peninsula and begins an adventurous journey, meeting a colourful parrot – Ara – on the way. Together, they discover new places, experiences and ways of looking at reality. The show combines movement, puppet animation and live music – including music played on the Chinese instrument guzheng – creating a vivid, staged story about freedom and the need to discover the world.
Teatr Formalina is Magdalena Młynarczyk’s own project, combining puppet theatre, theatre of form and her own original scripts, often enriched with live music. The creators of the Formalina focus on close, invitation-based contact with the audience and valuable meetings with art for the youngest viewers. At the same time, they work as theatre educators, conducting workshops for children, youth and students.

Teatr KTO “ARCADIA” / Poland, Cracow
“ARCADIA” is a picturesque tale about life, a music- and movement-filled journey through all its stages, during which we may slow down and have a closer look at what it is that is most important, while sitting on one of the ten benches of the stage design, laughing out loud or nostalgically looking back at the past. It is a music concert composed of, among others, the unearthly sounds of Dead Can Dance, Stevie Wonder, Doris Day, the iconic soldier song “Reserve” and the monumental aria from “Madame Butterfly”. In the vibe of the 1950s and 1960s created by great costumes, we will be looking for arcadian afterglows. The land of happiness really exists and is called ARCADIA.
Teatr KTO was established in 1977. Its head, Jerzy Zoń, has been unbrokenly serving in this position for 48 years. Today, during the 49th season of its activity, KTO’s statistics are truly impressive: more than 80 titles – on stage and on the street – with more than 3 million viewers in Poland and all over the world, more than 300 towns and cities, 40 countries, and 5 continents. Teatr KTO organises the international ULICA Street Theatre Festival and executes the artistic projects: the Night of Theatres and the Night of Poetry in Cracow.

Teatr Małe Mi ”Kalosze szczęścia” / Poland, Łódź
People have been wondering for centuries what happiness is. Is it a state of mind, a brief moment, or a conscious choice? Or perhaps…, perhaps it is waiting for us in the theatre? You are invited to see a puppet show inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s timeless fairy tale “The Galoshes of Fortune”, during which we shall together explore the topic of happiness and the various ways in which it can be understood. It is a story reminding that everything depends on the way we look at the world. It inspires people to discover joy in small things and remember that it depends on us whether our glass is half full or half empty, and what we shall pour into it.
Teatr Małe Mi was established in Supraśl in 2013 as an original project of Sława Tarkowska. It is a mindful theatre open to the needs of the young audience and their guardians, a theatre which entertains and educates. In its shows, Małe Mi presents different forms of animation, live acting and an original, multifunctional scenography. It employs the art of storytelling, stage movement and live music, including songs.

Teatr Migro
”DROM – ścieżkami Romów” / Poland, Cracow
DROM is a poetic and philosophical tale on the wanderings and history of the Romani people – an ethnic group living in almost all countries of the world, but about which we nevertheless know very little. This show without words revolves around the narrative axis in the form of Romani music from different parts of the globe: from vivacious swing and energetic rhythms of flamenco to the czárdás and melancholic sounds of the violin. It is also a tale of war and forced settlement – about the experiences which affected the fate of the Romani, but which are, still, little present in our collective memory.

“Ikary” / Poland, Cracow
What is freedom and do we all understand it in the same way? The four protagonists in this play are unexpectedly closed in a peculiar space which becomes their prison – a place of limitations, daily rituals and repeated gestures – for the duration of the show. Each of them tries in their own way to escape and feel free even for a moment. Movement, live music and elements of magical realism create a tale about limitations, dreams and the need for acting together. The show invites the audience to embark on a journey full of absurdity and subtle humour.
Teatr Migro is a Cracow-based street theatre established in 2019. Its artists create shows without words, inspired by and exploring the ceremonial and travel – understood as the fate of an exile, a migrant, a journey through life, a trip to times long gone, which have left a permanent footprint on our present. During its seven years long activity, the theatre performed at such festivals as Chalon dans la Rue in France, Theatre is Freedom in London, UK, and FITS in Sibiu, Romania, in the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Lithuania, Serbia, Estonia, Slovakia and at various festivals all over Poland.

Teatr Ósmego Dnia ”Stracony Sen” / Poland, Poznań
The show dedicated to all starvelings of the world, creatures that are not worthy to live, human trash, unnecessary ballast on the healthy society. It recalls and brings to life on the street figures and situations form Franz Kafka’s literary works and his writings. It evokes the tensions, fears and threats referred to in “The Metamorphosis”, “In the Penal Colony”, and “The Trial”. Confronting them with the audience, often accidental viewers, it proves that Kafka’s worlds are not hermetic but concern universal situations that are important to everyone.
Teatr Ósmego Dnia is the most famous Polish theatre ensemble originating from the student counterculture theatre of the 1960s. Established in 1964 by students of the Polish studies at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, it is now an iconic group, a symbol of engaged theatre pulsating with the rhythm of the most important political and social events. This loud group, employing a lot of movement and symbolic gestures and standing face to face with the audience, has become one of the main theatres of their kind in Europe.

Teatr Snów
”Klasa” / Poland, Gdańsk
An old man is returning to his school. He wants to meet his friends, relive or just recall that time. But he has probably lived too long, because both his class and his school are empty… He sits down on his bench as before and recalls the events that have most stuck in his memory. He activates his imagination to create images that will embellish his recollections. He begins to move between reality and fantasy.
The show was inspired by Bruno Schulz’s short stories.
