Le G. Bistaki „Baïna[na]” / France

A timeless satire of our relationship with money and power. Dressed in white suits, armed with snow shovels, corn as food for thought, four men invite us to cross places and times in an astonishing choreographic and musical journey. The show presents the relational evolution of characters confronted with an abundant source of yellow gold… which will lead them in turn to pleasure, ecstasy, jealousy, and finally to ruin.
About the theatre:
Neither entirely circus nor solely dance, the language of Le G. Bistaki is at the crossroads of the arts and claims the meeting of disciplines. The use of juggling, theatre or dance feeds a common language that gives rise to situations that are sometimes crazy, often absurd, where derision and laughter prevail. Pjoter „Zjadacz Szeptów” [„The Whisper Eater”] – art installation / Poland, Kraków

There’s a microphone in a small, black trailer that’s always listening and a pair of headphones where the whispers of those who have peeked in there before you go on forever. Because there are things we would like to talk about, but somehow it doesn’t feel right, maybe there is no one to talk to, maybe we don’t know how….

Improvised art of storytelling that engages the audience, simple sounds, a bucketful of electronics and a good dose of controlled chaos with active audience participation. Szatan Witkowsk „Eden, czyli minstrel pustkowi” [“Eden, or the minstrel of the wastes”] / Poland, Gdańsk
About the show:
Eden had a ukulele, a suitcase of circus junk, and the idea that maybe people still wanted to laugh. Maybe it was a little naive, but as he himself said, „It can’t get any worse.”
He didn’t have a stage, so he performed where they let him in. These were not solemn performances, but in everyday life there is not always a time and place for high art. And rightly so, because Eden believed that even something small, amusing, or sometimes completely nonsensical was enough to brighten the everyday life of a world falling apart. For example, playing a ukulele for people who have long stopped to believe that it was worth it.
About the artist:
Szatan Witkowsk is a one-man, spontaneous and organic theatre. A combination of juggling and ukulele playing, somewhat inspired by the vision of a post-apocalyptic minstrel.

Vincent Von Grotesque & Maria Ruddick „Król Demonów” [„King of Demons”] / Poland, Warsaw
About the show:
An interactive adventure, a kind of looping story that, in its chaotic pace, is like pages from the Devil’s own diary. You will find in it references to dark poetry, as well as to Mikhail Bulgakov’s immortal novel „The Master and Margarita”.
About the artists:
A project at the intersection of living sculpture, tableau vivant, and above all surrealism and performance art! Each show is one of a kind and features elements of improvisation. Vincent Von Grotesque is a demonic figure who visits the earthly world. Hella (Maria Ruddick), his assistant, is an exuberant artist crossing dance and acting boundaries, combining a multitude of arts, including Dance with War Fans.

CONCERTS

Young Garçon / Polska, Gdańsk
About the artist:
Young Garçon is the latest musical incarnation of Jan Grzonka – a music admirer, instrumentalist and producer from Gdańsk. He debuted in 2020 under the stage name Paris, France. Jan draws inspiration from many genres; lately, he has been particularly drawn to hip hop, full of character and atmosphere, in the style of American giants such as The Alchemist and Griselda. The result of this adoration is a new album entitled „Alchemy” is a distinctive distillate of foreign influences and local geography, such as the Gdańsk port and shipyard districts. Music full of heavy, processed samples, crunching drum-breaks and threatening bass. Saxophones, exotic synthesizers, piano, snippets of dialogues and vocals, and all this forms the background to a vague story about crime, truth, human weakness and addiction – to mundane things, but also to one’s own environment.
