„Can’t Escape” to obraz świata, w którym ucieczka prowadzi donikąd. Kim będziemy dla siebie tuż po katastrofie: kiedy wypijemy ostatnią szklankę czystej wody, zaczniemy gorączkowo szukać kilku kropel paliwa do naszych nienasyconych baków, a to, co zostanie z żyjącej natury, zamkniemy za szkłem niczym cenną relikwię?
Osadzony w postapokaliptycznej estetyce spektakl podejmuje temat kryzysu klimatycznego od strony naszych wzajemnych relacji – w chwili, gdy katastrofa stanie się już faktem.
Teatr 3.5 powstał w 2012 roku z inicjatywy Marka Kurkiewicza, artysty wcześniej związanego z Teatrem Snów. Zespół tworzy przede wszystkim spektakle plenerowe i uliczne, które wymykają się teatralnym konwencjom, zwyczajom i modom. Nieustannie eksperymentuje i rozwija własny język artystyczny, szukając sposobów na wejście w szczególny dialog z publicznością. Ze względu na podejmowane tematy i etos pracy Teatr 3.5 można określić jako teatr zaangażowany społecznie.
“Can’t Escape” is a picture of the world of an escape to nowhere. It is a question about who we are going to be for each other immediately after a disaster: after we have drunk the last glass of clean, pure water, moving about in a frantic search for a few drops of fuel for our insatiable tanks, with a substitute of living nature closed within a glass shrine? Set in post-apocalyptic aesthetics, this show addresses the topic of the climate crisis from the side of the questions concerning our mutual relations when the disaster has become a historical fact.
Teatr 3.5 was set up in 2012 on the initiative of Marek Kurkiewicz, an artist previously associated with the Teatr Snów. The group creates mainly outdoor and street performances resisting theatrical conventions, customs and trends. It ceaselessly experiments, developing its own artistic language in search of the ways to enter a special dialogue with the viewer. Considering the subjects it addresses and its work ethos, this is a socially engaged theatre.
