„ARCADIA” jest malowniczą opowieścią o życiu, muzyczno-ruchową podróżą przez wszystkie jego etapy. Zaprasza, by na chwilę zwolnić i przyjrzeć się temu, co najważniejsze. To koncert-spektakl, w którym wybrzmiewają między innymi nieziemskie dźwięki Dead Can Dance, utwory Steviego Wondera i Doris Day, kultowa żołnierska pieśń „Rezerwa” oraz monumentalna aria z opery „Madama Butterfly”. W klimacie lat 50. i 60., budowanym przez znakomite kostiumy, będziemy szukać arkadyjskich powidoków. Kraina szczęścia naprawdę istnieje i nazywa się ARCADIA.
Teatr KTO powstał w 1977 roku. Od 48 lat nieprzerwanie kieruje nim Jerzy Zoń. Dziś, w 49. sezonie działalności, dorobek teatru robi ogromne wrażenie: ponad 80 tytułów prezentowanych na scenie i w przestrzeni ulicznej, ponad 3 miliony widzów w Polsce i na świecie, ponad 300 odwiedzonych miast, 40 krajów i 5 kontynentów. Teatr KTO organizuje Międzynarodowy Festiwal Teatrów Ulicznych ULICA oraz realizuje krakowskie projekty artystyczne: Noc Teatrów i Noc Poezji.
“ARCADIA” is a picturesque tale about life, a music- and movement-filled journey through all its stages, during which we may slow down and have a closer look at what it is that is most important, while sitting on one of the ten benches of the stage design, laughing out loud or nostalgically looking back at the past. It is a music concert composed of, among others, the unearthly sounds of Dead Can Dance, Stevie Wonder, Doris Day, the iconic soldier song “Reserve” and the monumental aria from “Madame Butterfly”. In the vibe of the 1950s and 1960s created by great costumes, we will be looking for arcadian afterglows. The land of happiness really exists and is called ARCADIA.
Teatr KTO was established in 1977. Its head, Jerzy Zoń, has been unbrokenly serving in this position for 48 years. Today, during the 49th season of its activity, KTO’s statistics are truly impressive: more than 80 titles – on stage and on the street – with more than 3 million viewers in Poland and all over the world, more than 300 towns and cities, 40 countries, and 5 continents. Teatr KTO organises the international ULICA Street Theatre Festival and executes the artistic projects: the Night of Theatres and the Night of Poetry in Cracow.
